Bindu / Jaldhaka / Samsing - Bindu is a small settlement or a village situated at an altitude of nearly 700 meters on the India Bhutan border. These are lesser known hill stations and offer beautiful landscape and peace It is known for cardamom plantation and the journey through Chapramari Sanctuary is a pleasant experience. Gairibus a small settlement is on your way, Diascorrea - a medicine plant is grown and is also a beautiful place to stop for a while. It is very popular among the tourist. One can visit this places staying at Gorumara or Chalsa or Chapramari Forest area. Staying in Bindu is altogether an experience difficult to explain. It is situated in the Hills on the Himalayan foothills. Scenic beauty of the settlement positioned among the high mountains with the River Jaldhaka flowing through the valley. It is approximately 100 Kilometres from Siliguri. The hamlet is a place for guest with leisure holidays with valley encircled with hills of Bhutan and India on the banks of river Jaldhaka. Jhalong or Jaldhaka is a small township nearly 95 kilometres from Siliguri. Guest can visit the second phase of Hydro Electric Power Station constructed on the river Jaldhaka. It is a feast for the eyes and stimulating to the mind. Nearly 105 kilometres drive from Siliguri to Bindu is enjoyable with stoppages at Sevoke Kali Mandir and Coronation Bridge. Lunch on the way at Odlabari Dhaba is worth it. The drive is along the river Teesta for nearly 20 kilometres and the rest through the undulating slopes of Duars covered with lush green tea garden and forests. A visit to Todey at 1500 meters is enjoyable Tangtey and Parren is worth experiencing. There are small resorts at Parren Busty also. For birding one can come across local birds like Pheasants, Cuckoos, Minivets, Flycatchers, Mynas, Orioles, Owls, Parakeets, Partridges, Sunbirds, Swallows, Swifts, etc. Samsing is nearly 90 kilometres from Siliguri via Chalsa and is situated beside Jaldhaka River; the main attractions are for scenic beauty, orange plantation and forest resort.

From Bindu one can visit places like Dhuley forest nearly 7 kilometres from Bindu via Parren Busty. Dalgaon is a small and beautiful village 17 kilometres from Bindu and there is a 3 – 4 hours trek option suitable for school students. Dhap Gaon is one more destination from where one can trek to Jhandidhara in Neora Valley. Godak Valley is 17 kilometres via Orange Orchard and Cardamom plantation and with Cardamom curing center. Jaldhaka Hydel Project and the Jaldhaka Valley is known for birding but is best after 3:00 PM. 27 kilometres from Bindu is Tshi Sang from where one can trek for an hour to spot Red Panda and Deer herd of 50 to 60 together. Jhalong, Suntaley Khola, Samsing, Chapramari, Today, Tangtey, Parren are some of the places worth visiting from Bindu. The places are also accessible same when you stay at either Bindu or Parren and visit the rest of the places.

Communication / Connectivity

Airways – The nearest airport is at Bagdogra, which is 2 to 3 hours drive from Bindu / Parren Busty. Bagdogra airport (IXB) is well connected to Kolkata, Delhi and Guwahati with daily flights. It is well connected with roads and railways with the neighboring places. Phuentsholling  in Bhutan is  4 hours drive from Bindu

Railways - New Jalpaiguri railway station (NJP) is the major junction.  Though railway is not popular as a mode of transport in the area, yet there are a few railway station and the track passes through scenic sites. Important stations like Rajabhatkhawa, New Cooch Behar, Alipurduar and Chalsa is near Bindu, Chalsa being the closest. One can travel till Chalsa by Train and then by car to Bindu via Chapramari. 

Roadways - The main mode of transport in the area is roadways and is well connected to the rest of India.  National Highway 31 is the main highway passing through Duars. Regular bus services provided by North Bengal State Transport Corporation and Assam State Transport Corporation and other private vehicles are also available, except during tourist season, when it is to be booked prior. Bindu is 115 kilometres from Siliguri, Gorumara is 75 kilometres from Siliguri, Chapramari is 68 kilometres from Siliguri, the Buxa Tiger Reserve is 200 kilometres from Siliguri and the Jaldapara is 124 kilometres from Siliguri.
