Day - 01 –Arrival at Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Tenzing Norgay Bus Terminus (Junction) and Transfer to Gangtok - Guest will be received by our official at Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Tenzing Norgay Bus Terminus (Junction) – He will assist you for the forwarding journey to Gangtok – Nearly 135 Kilometres, 3 ½ - 4 hours drive - A perfect destination for tourist in search of enchantment, tranquility, trekking or any other adventure - Land of monastery, mystic rituals / festivals at an elevation of 1,437 meters / 4,715 feet is the most often visited spot of India for its rare Orchids and Butterflies - In the evening one is free to stroll around M G Marg / Local Market - Over night stay at Gangtok

 

Day - 02 - North Sikkim Tour starts with Lachen - Early morning breakfast – Next the vehicle will report for North Sikkim with permit - Drive to Lachen – Chungthang is nearly 96 kilometres from Gangtok – On the way stop at Chungthang or Miyang Chu for Lunch - Next drive for 29 kilometres from Chungthang to Lachen - Reach Lachung late afternoon / early evening - The snow capped peaks, the Shingbha wild life sanctuary, Gurudongmar, Thangu, Chopta Valley and Green Lake are the major attractions of the region – It is almost like this town is hidden from the outside – The infrastructure is not good due to the remoteness and the snowfall / Rainfall – The place is worth visiting – Check into a hotel -– Evening free to stroll or visit the Lachen Monastery and visit the Lepcha Village – Overnight stay at Hotel in Lachen

 

Day - 03 - Gurudongmar Lake visit and Transfer to Lachung - Early morning breakfast – The route is Lachen – Thangu – Chopta Valley - Gurudongmar lake  – Lachen - Drive 55 kilometres from Lachen stop at 15000 feet for permit to be signed – Drive the rest and visit to Gurudongmar Lake - 3 hour - A valley at an altitude of nearly 15 800 feet through which Lachen Chu flows – This is a holy Lake and is one of the most sacred place of worship for the Buddhist – The Lake gets frozen during winter barring  a stretch which remains as water even at - 20 C – The region is generally covered with snow from December to April - This is a stretch of cold desert till Tibet / China - While returning have lunch at Lachen – After Lunch drive to Lachung - Overnight stay at Hotel in Lachung

 

Day - 04 - Yumthang Excursion or Sightseeing - Early morning breakfast can be at hotel or one can have packed breakfast on the way to Yumthang - It is approximately 25 kilometres and the drive is through scenic route - Yumthang Valley is situated at an altitude of nearly 12000 feet - It is locally known as Valley of Flowers as because during spring and autumn there are flowering Rhododendrons all around the forested area - It is said that Yumthang is the summer grazing ground of the Yaks & winter playgrounds of Yetis - On the way back visit Hot Spring with medicinal properties due to the high Sulphur content - Back to hotel for lunch - Afternoon free to stroll around Lachung village and Monastery - Dinner at Hotel / Resort - Overnight stay at Lachung

 

Day - 05 – Transfer from Lachung to Gangtok - Morning one can stroll around the village or nearby places after packing the belongings - Early morning breakfast - Start for Gangtok - The drive again is approximately 125 kilometres and is nearly 06 hours - Enroute view of Singhik View point, Seven Sisters Water Falls, Naga Water Falls - Reach Gangtok by late afternoon or evening - After breakfast drive for Gangtok ,en route witness the Beautification of the wonderful Bheema & Twin Falls - On arrival at check-in to your hotel at Gangtok - Evening free to stroll around M G Road - Overnight stay at Hotel / Resort / Home Stay at Gangtok

 

Day - 06 - Departure to Bagdogra Airport (IXB) or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP)  - Drive to Siliguri, on the way to Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) (130 kilometres, 4 ½ - 5 hours) - Morning breakfast - After breakfast transfer to Siliguri / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / Tenzing Norgay Bus Stand (Junction)  - The drive is through hills and with scenic beauty – Stoppage at Rangpo / Chitrey or Melli for a cup of Tea is advisable if time permits – Drive to Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP)  via Siliguri - Guest are advised to start early and not to rush - Forwarding Journey
