Chatakpur 02 Nights & 03 Days

Day- 01

Arrival at and transfer to Chatakpur -  Guest  will be received by our official on arrival & he will assist them to get transfer to Chatakpur - It is roughly 75 Kilometers and nearly 03 - 04 hours drive by road - Chatakpur is situated inside the Senchel Wildlife sanctuary - It is at a distance of 18 kilometers from Jorebunglow, 07 kilometers from Sonada - One can walk to Tiger hill which is just 10 minutes from the village - Perched at an elevation of 7887 feet on the hilltop above the quaint town of Sonada is forest village called Chatakpur - Located 07 kilometers from Sonada amidst the Senchal reserve forest Chatakpur is a sparsely populated village rather a hamlet ideally located for leisure holidays - It became a hotspot for tourist after the forest department developed tourist cottages in Chatakpur - The terrace cultivation of the organic crop, the shrubs and medicinal herbs acquired from the forest, form the means of livelihood of the locals - Birding and short trek is popular - One can walk to Tiger hill which is just 10 minutes from the village - Evening free to enjoy just outside the cottages - Overnight stay at Chatakpur 

[Note: Chatakpur is closed from Mid July to Mid September i.e. Monsoon - During this period the Package Uses Tinchuley Or Sittong Or Lamahatta Or Latpanchar Or Chotamangua Or Baramangua instead of Chatakpur] 

Day- 02

Explore Chatakpur - After Breakfast walk around the village - Village situated inside the Senchal Wildlife Sanctuary, Darjeeling - The village promotes organic farming of vegetables through terraced cultivation - Medicinal herbs are also grown and the locals sustain their  livelihood through these - The place has now transformed itself to a tourist destination - Where visitors make a beeline for the lush greenery, wooden cottages, forest trails, trekking routes, and overall, a getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life - Situated inside the forested area and is 10 minutes walk to Tiger Hill - The place will offer you a quiet and memorable stay to be remembered for years to come - There are several forest trails here through lush greenery that are ideal for light treks - One should take a trained guide with for treks or trail as the forest also harbors wild lives like leopards, barking deer and several other animals - Lucky one can come across a Red Panda - It is also a paradise for bird lover’s people, small trek to village and Labda will give immense pleasure for shutter happy people -  Late evening free - Night halt at Chatakpur

Day- 03

Departure transfer to Airport  /  Railway Station / Bus Terminus (Junction) Or Siliguri - Early in the morning one can walk down for 10 minutes to enjoy the sunrise and return to homestay - Complete the breakfast  and next drive to Siliguri on the way to Airport or Railway Station - Optional Visit is either to Darjeeling Himalayan Railway Station of Kurseong via Baggura or A short drive to gates of any of the Tea Estate like Ambootia, Makaibari or Margaret's Deck Tea Lounge (Goodricke Tea Pot) is also recommended for buying or tasting Tea - Next Departure Transfer - It’s a drive of approximately 65 kilometers and it is 02½ - 03 hours drive by scenic road - Return journey is via Kurseong - This route is fascination - The drive will be through beautiful Tea Estate and gradually down through Mahananda Wildlife sanctuary - The way has a pleasant climate and scenic beauty - Halt at Garidhura or similar location for Tea & refreshment  -  Drop to Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Tenzing Norgay Bus Terminus (Junction) / Siliguri - Guest are advised to start early and not to rush - Forwarding Journey
