People - Sikkimese are a happy bunch of people. They are deeply religious minded and attend all festivals with wonderful enthusiasm. They extend their warm and friendly hospitality. One must not have seen so many smiles at a time…ever. People mostly speak in Nepali, English, Hindi, Bhutia (Sikkimese), Bhutia (Tibetan), Lepcha, and Limboo. They are peace loving people and the state offers you a truly unique visitor experience.
Dress - Sikkim & Darjeeling is a hilly area & change is weather is a regular happening. Nights are cold and the sunshine is very bright during the day hence cap, sunglasses are necessary. It is advisable that light layer clothing should be carried through out the year but in winters it is advisable to carry heavy woolen. It generally rains heavily during monsoon. Rest of the year it rains anytime so it is advisable to keep an umbrella.
Hotels - Hotels at all the destinations are of various standard and quality. We exclusive select or book hotels on their standard of service provided. The hotel thus selected is clean with hygenic atmosphere . Secondly the distance from the intented places of visit. The check out time is genrally 12 Noon. The child policy of all hotels are strict.
Natural Calamity - Landslide is a common happening in hilly area. Though the roads are motor able only after few hours of any such natural calamity hence it is advisable to travel as per the schedule given. We always keep some time and set the timings. Border Road Organization (BRO) maintains the road and it is always repair in war footings.
Nathu La Pass - Voter’s ID card is required for visit to Tsomgo Lake / Baba Mandir / Memencho Lake near Nathula pass. Nathu La is subject availability of permits as only limited permits are issued 48 hour prior to the schedule tour. Nathu La remains closed to tourist on Monday, Tuesday and Friday. It may close anytime for security reasons.
Vehicle parking - In the hill station car parking space are very less hence almost most of the areas are restricted to entry of vehicle or specific time is allotted for entries. Guests are requested to follow the time strictly. Incase of delays the vehicle will have to leave the hotel area without the guest & parked in a parking area. In such case the guest will have to arrange / bear transit in a Local Taxi
Foreigners - Entry and stay of foreigners in Sikkim is regulated by a system of permits known as RAP / PAP. State Government has the powers to issue permits to Foreigners to visit Sikkim for tourism purpose only for an initial period of 15 days and extensions of upto another 45 days at a spell of 15 days i.e. total of 60 days. The power to extend permits for 45 days has now been further delegated to FRO, Gangtok for East District & respectively SP’s for North, South and West District by the Home Department. The visit is restricted to certain specified areas only. Individual foreigner tourists are permitted to visit Gangtok, Phodong, Rumtek, Pemayangtse, Tashiding, Khechepalri Lake, Rhenock - Aritar and all District headquarters and all Sub-Divisional Headquarters (except Chungthang in North Sikkim). Organized groups of two or more foreign tourists under guided tour by travel agents are allowed to go upto Yumthang & Lachen in North Sikkim for the period of five days and to Tsomgo Lake in East Sikkim for one day.

We try to plan each trip within the budget quoted by our guest. Requests can be made by phone, email or FAX at any time. Travel documentation can be arranged as electronic or paper tickets, delivered over mail or FAX and even couriered. Technology has been incorporated for the demanding schedule of todays business environment.
Late Arrival / Unscheduled Extensions - Unlikely event of there being an unscheduled extension to the holiday caused by flight delays, bad weather, Bandhs, strikes or any other cause which is beyond the control of Dreamway Destinations. It is understood that the expenses relating to these unscheduled extensions like hotel accommodation etc, will be on the account of the Guest / Passenger. We accepts no liability for changes, omissions or delays before or during the course of any sanctioned or agreed tour occasioned by technical difficulties, weather conditions, strikes or communication breakdowns (Not provided by us). But we will extend as much help as possible to overcome the cost and delay factors.
Bandhs / Strikes – Due to strikes or Bandhs called by organization or political party, we try to advise our Guest to take no Risk and pre pone the Itinerary. In such cases guest have to stay in the nearest resort / Hotel or Lodges. Arrangement will be made by us but the cost in actual has to be paid by the guest.
Refunds and Unused services - No refunds will be made for no - shows, or any unused services. We accept no liability for changes, omissions or delays before or during the course of any sanctioned or agreed tour. We can try our level best to adjust minor change if possible.
Breakaways following Departure - While it is possible for the passenger to break away from planned itineraries. Extra expenses incurred as a result of such a breakaway will be for the travelers account and the cost involved will depend upon the package.
Travel Documents - Documents like vouchers, itineraries, etc. are only prepared on receipt of full payment of the package price, currency declarations and hotel booking copies if requested. Documents will be ready for collection 48 hours after full payment has been received or two days before the start of journey. A copy of Itinerary will be posted by E mail and a copy will be handed over on arrival to guest at Siliguri.
Passports, Visas, Vaccinations and Inoculations - Responsibility to obtain proper, current and valid passports, visas, vaccinations, inoculations and the like, where required, is that of the Guest / traveler alone. Dreamway Destinations will not be responsible or liable for any consequence of any nature arising from the customer failing to ensure that he / she has complied with all such requirements. But we will extend any help if it is within our known circle.
Cancellation – Cancellation will attract a sum of Rs 2500.00 minimum during normal period and 4500.00 during peak season April, May, June, September, October & December. The cancellation charges are as follows
30 Days prior to Arrival : Rs. 2500.00 / Rs. 4500.00
07 Days prior to Arrival : 20 - 40% of total tour cost
03 Days prior to Arrival : 40 - 60% of total tour cost
02 Days prior to Arrival : 80% of total tour cost
Please note - Cancellation charges will be subject advance paid to hotel and vehicle provider and those who are engaged in arranging the itinerary and we will try all out to keep the amount at it lowest possible value. This depends on the system and not us alone.
Re Scheduling – Rescheduling of booked tour will be treated as Cancellation. But minor amendments can be made on the payment of a communication charge of Rs. 2500.00 / Rs. 4500.00 actually raised by the providers, which may vary as the case may be.
Re Schedule - Amendments and cancellations en route must be made with our operators directly and any change in schedule in the last 48 hours will incur a minimum of Rs. 2000.00. These expenses are due to advance paid for booked accommodation and vehicles. Please try to avoid such cases. We will try our level best to minimize the amount with our contact and divert booking to other guest if such opportunity exist or arise in case of such situations.
Refund - Refund against re scheduling and cancellations will be paid backed to the account from where the payment is made. It might take 15 days from our side. There is no refund for any unutilized services example – meals, entrance fee, optional, hotel, sightseeing, transportation (surface / air). All refund made will be in Indian Rupee.
