Communication / Connectivity
Airways – Pokhara has domestic airport with nearly 25 flights. This service is available daily to reach Pokhara from Kathmandu and other important tourist spots of Nepal. If you plan in advance say 30 - 45 days in advance you may end up getting Kathmandu air tickets at low cost. Pokahara airport is quite busy one.
Railways – Pokhara is accessible only by road and airways. There is as such no railway system in Nepal but one can reach any of the bordering town of Nepal by availing Indian Railways.
Roadways – Kathmandu to Pokhara is 6 to 7 hours drive and it’s quite comfortable. Pokhara has good network of road and tourist generally proceed to Chitwan from Pokhara and back to Kathmandu. Deluxe buses, vehicles, public transport are available daily for tourist movement. Flights are cheaper than road transport for family of two or four.
