Duration - 11 Nights and 12 Days
Day - 1 – Drive to Gangtok (120 Kilometres, 4 hours) - You will be received by our official at Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) – He will assist you for the forwarding journey to Gangtok - A perfect destination for tourist in search of enchantment, tranquility, trekking or any other adventure - Land of monastery, mystic rituals / festivals at an elevation of 1,437 meters / 4,715 feet is the most often visited spot of India for its rare Orchids and Butterflies - In the evening one is free to stroll around M.G.Marg - Over night stay at Gangtok.
Day - 2 - Early morning breakfast - Visit to Tsomgo / Changu Lake and Baba Mandir – It has cool, serene water and picturesque beauty - A temple of Lord Shiva is built on the lakeside - Primula flowers and other alpine plantation provide an immaculate beauty to this place - Till April it is full of snow and lay frozen - Back to hotel for lunch or lunch on the way - Visit to flower show - Evening one is free to stroll around - Over night stay at Gangtok.
Day - 3 – Drive - Yuksom (1780 meters / 5840 feet) - Approximately 123 kilometres – 5 ½ - 6 hours from Gangtok - Early morning one can get a clear view of mount Koktang, Kumbhakarna, Rathong, Kabru, Dom, Kanchendzonga, Pandim, Shimbho, Narsing, etc Morning after an early breakfast drive to Yuksom - Yuksom is the old capital of Sikkim where the first king was consecrated in the year 1642 A.D - It also has the oldest existing Monastery built during 1700 A.D – Evening free to stroll around the region - Over night stay in hotel in Yuksom.
Day - 4 – Trek - Yuksom (1780 meters / 5840 feet) – Bakhim (3035 meters / 9957 feet) – 14 kilometres – 4 to 4 ½ hours - Trek - Early morning breakfast - Start the first leg of trekking to reach Bakhim - The track is a gradual ascent and descends through the dense forest of Kanchendzonga National park following the Pairag Chu - Overnight stay in trekkers hut / camp - Refreshment and dinner – Over night stay at Tent / Trekkers / Camp.
Day - 5 – Trek – Bakhim (3035 meters / 9957 feet) – Phedang (3,483 meters / 11427 feet) – 5 kilometres – 3 to 4 ½ hours - Trek - Camp 3,760 meters - Trek for about one hour up to the picturesque village of Tshoka - Tshoka is a settlement of Tibetan refugees – There is a small monastery by a small lake - A fairly steep climb above Tshoka takes you into beautiful rhododendron forests, and continue along a well-defined uphill path to Phedang (approximately 2 - 3 hours from Tshoka) - A shorter trail there will be gain of altitude - Over night stay at Tent / Trekkers / Camp.
Day - 6 – Phedang (3035 meters / 9957 feet) – Dzongri (3962 meters / 12999 feet) – 5 kilometres – 3 ½ - 4 hours - Morning after breakfast start trekking to reach Dzongri along a well marked track - Initially the track climbs steeply, and strenuous but as the track is through fascinating rhododendron bushes running riot with color, one may not feel the climb - Arrive at Dzongri - Refreshment and dinner – Over night stay at Tent / Trekkers / Camp.
Day - 7 – Dzongri (3962 meters / 12999 feet) - Rest at Dzongri - Excursion to Laxmi Pokhari - Before dawn climb to a point on a ridge above the campsite to watch the sunrise on Kanchendzonga, Kabru, Pandim, Rathong, etc - Excursion to Laxmi Pokhari - The trial first goes through rhododendron bushes and pasture land for about an hour to Chamaray then it is a gradual ascent to Laxmi Pokhari, a big lake cupped in a deep crater - View of Kanchendzonga range, Pandim, Narsing, Kabur, Kabur dome, Koktang etc - If one can reach Laxmi Pokhari early and feels fit, an excursion towards Kabur rock will be a rewarding experience - Back to Dzongri -Refreshment and dinner – Over night stay at Tent / Trekkers / Camp.
Day – 8 – Trek - Dzongri (3962 meters / 12999 feet) – Bakhim (3035 meters / 9957 feet),10 kilometres, 4 to 4 ½ hours - Morning after breakfast start trekking to reach Yuksom - Rest of the day free to visit the oldest monastery and the surrounding area – Lunch , refreshment and dinner in camp - Over night stay in stay at Tent / Trekkers / Camp.
Day – 9 –Trek - Bakhim (3035 meters / 9957 feet) - Yuksom (1780 meters / 5840 feet), 14 kilometres, 3 ½ - 4 hours - Early morning breakfast - Start the last leg of trekking to reach Yuksom - The track is a gradual descend and ascends through the dense forest of Kanchendzonga National park following the Pairag Chu – Refreshment and dinner - Over night stay in stay at Tent / Trekkers / Camp – Campfire can be arranged
Day – 10 – Drive - Early morning breakfast – Transfer to Darjeeling - (115 kilometres 3 ½ - 4 hours) – Darjeeling - At an elevation of 2123 meters / 70001 feet, the land of breathtaking beauty, amidst rolling tea gardens, crowned by the majestic Himalayas popularly known as the Queen of the hills - Jewel in the crown of the Eastern Himalayas with mesmerizing beauty offers spectacular views of the Mount Everest, Mount Kanchendzonga and the rest of spectacular Himalayan range. Check in to hotel – Stroll to Mall / shrubbery Park - Over night stay at hotel in Darjeeling.
Day - 11 - Early morning visit to Tiger hills – The day’s excursion start at 0345 hours to enjoy sunrise - Return at 0700 hours route Batasia Loop of Darjeeling Himalayan Railway and War Memorial - Back to hotel for breakfast, visit to Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and Padmaja Naidu Park. Back to hotel for lunch or lunch on the way - After lunch visit to Rock garden and Gangamaiya Park - Over night stay at Darjeeling.
Day – 12 – Drive to Siliguri - Early morning breakfast - Next one has to drive to Siliguri, on the way to Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) (100 kilometres, 2 ½ hours) - Tour ends.
