North Sikkim Tour Package 04 Nights & 05 Days

Day- 01

On arrival transfer to Gangtok - On arrival, guests will be received by our representative and assist them to forward journey to  Gangtok - The drive is approximately 120 Kilometres and is nearly 04½ - 05 hours drive along the River Teesta and National Highway 10 - Gangtok is a clean bustling, friendly hill station, and the capital of the Indian state of Sikkim - It is a perfect destination for tourist in search of enchantment, tranquility, trekking or any other adventure - It is a land of monastery, mystic rituals, and colourful festivals - It is popular Buddhist pilgrimage site after the construction of the Enchey Monastery in 1840 - Situated at an elevation of 1,437 meters i.e. 4,715 feet is the most often visited spot of India for its rare Orchids and Butterflies - In the evening one is free to stroll around M.G.Marg or the local Market - One can also visit the local pub or Casinos - Overnight stay at Gangtok

Day- 02

Transfer to Lachen [North sikkim] - Early morning breakfast - Next the vehicle will report for North Sikkim after the permit is issued - The vehicle will report at North Sikkim Stand [Guest has to take a Taxi and Report there - Next drive to Lachen - It is 125 kilometres and is nearly 06 - 06½ hours drive - Chungthang is nearly 96 kilometres from Gangtok - On the way stop at Chungthang - Next drive for 29 kilometres from Chungthang to Lachen - Reach Lachung late afternoon / early evening - The snow-capped peaks, the Shingbha wildlife sanctuary, Gurudongmar, Thangu, Chopta Valley and Green Lake are the major attractions of the region - It is almost like this town is hidden from the outside - The infrastructure is not good due to the remoteness and the snowfall / Rainfall - The place is worth visiting - Check into a hotel - Evening free to stroll or visit the Lachen Monastery and visit the Lepcha Village - Overnight stay at Hotel in Lachen

Day- 03

Excursion to Gurudongmar Lake and Transfer to Lachung -  Early morning breakfast - Visit Gurudongmar Lake [Holy / Sacred lake) - It is a tiny Hamlet a valley with lush meadows located at an altitude of 13,000 feet and about 35 kilometres north of Lachen - During the journey, tourists have to cross Gaigaon Check Post at 15000 feet, which is the highest check post in the world - Gurudongmar is approximately 70 kilometres and is nearly 02½  - 03 hours drive - The region is generally covered with snow from November to April  - Visit Gurudongmar Lake - Further up one more glacial lake is Tso Lhamo (5330 meters) but civilians are not allowed - Back to Resort for Lunch - After lunch drive to Lachung - It is approximately 50 kilometre and is nearly 02½  - 03 hours drive -  After lunch proceed to Lachung - Nearly 50 kilometres and 02 hours drive - Check into the hotel at Lachung - Evening free to visit Lachung Monastery - Overnight stay at Hotel at Lachung

[Note: Children below 05 Years & People with Heart Or Breathing Ailments are not allowed to visit Gurudongmar Lake and has to stay back at Hotel or Wait at 15000 feet]

Day- 04

Excursion to Yumthang and Transfer to Gangtok -  Early morning breakfast - Visit Yumthang i.e. 25 kilometers and is nearly 01½  - 02 hours drive - A valley at an altitude of 11800 feet through which Lachung Chu flows, generally covered with snow from November to April -  It is known as the valley of flowers - Guest can spend an hour at Yumthang along with the hot water spring - The vast Valley stretches and is a cold desert till Tibet / China - While returning visit to hot water spring if time permits - The region is fully covered with snow and Rhododendron - Yumesandong or Zero Point & Katao are optional sightseeing - Back to hotel for lunch / Packed Lunch - Proceed to Gangtok - Afternoon drive to Gangtok - it is approximately 123 Kilometres & 05 hours drive - Evening one can spend time in M G Road or vicinity - Overnight stay at Hotel in Gangtok. 

Day- 05

Departure transfer to Siliguri Or Pakyong - Guests can walk in M G Road during early morning and return to the hotel for breakfast - After breakfast get ready for the transfer - Siliguri is at a distance of approximately 125 kilometers and is nearly 03½ - 04 hours drive along the scenic road via Rangpo & Sevoke - The drive is through hills and with scenic beauty - Stoppage at Rangpo / Chitrey or Melli for a cup of Tea is advisable if time permits - One stop at Coronation bridge for photography and Sevoke Kalimandir if time permits - The drive will be along National Highway 10 and River Teesta -  Drop at Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Tenzing Norgay Bus Terminus (Junction) / Siliguri / Pakyong Airport (PYG) - Guest are advised to start early and not to rush - Forwarding Journey
