Itinerary for Package Tour

Day- 01

Arrival at Guwahati & transfer to Kaziranga National Park - Our representative will receive the guests on arrival at Guwahati Airport / Railway Station or Bus Terminus & assist them to get transfer to Kaziranga National Park - Drive to Kaziranga is approximately 220 kilometers and is nearly 05 hours drive - Famed as a haven for the one-horned rhinoceros, one of India’s great wildlife emblems, Kaziranga National Park encompasses grasslands, wetlands, and forests for about 60 kilometers on the south side of the Brahmaputra River in the Indian state of Assam - The Park has been granted maximum protection under the Indian law for wildlife conservation - The sanctuary, which hosts two-thirds of the world's great one-horned rhinoceroses and is a World Heritage Site - Situated on the edge of the Eastern Himalaya biodiversity hotspot, the park combines high species diversity and visibility [Kaziranga Park remain closed from 01 May till 31 Oct every year for the visitors. Therefore November to April is the best time to visit Kaziranga National Park] - Reach by evening and check into hotel/resort -  Evening stroll around the local area - Overnight stay at Kaziranga

Day- 02

Kaziranga National Park Activities -  Early morning explore any one zone of Kaziranga National Park on back of Elephant - Elephant riding time are: 1st Ride- 5.15-6.15 AM; 2nd ride: 6.30-7.30 am - Return to hotel / Resort for Breakfast -  The highest density of tigers among protected areas in the world and was declared a Tiger Reserve in 2006 - Apart from the Rhino, other species found are Hog Deer, Swamp Deer, Wild Buffalo, Elephants and if guests are lucky then they can spot  tiger also - After lunch Jeep safari in the Central Range -  Visitors willing to view wildlife by motorcars are guided through these roads by the staff of forest department - The visitors are allowed to take in their own vehicles, however no visitor is allowed to enter the park without an accompanying representative of the forest department - Observation towers are situated at Sohola, Mihimukh, Kathpara, Foliamari and Harmoti for spotting wildlife - After breakfast free for leisure or you can visit tea  plantations  rubber plantations or visit Assamese Village & Craft Centre etc - Evening free to stroll around the area - Overnight stay at Kaziranga

Day- 03

Transfer to Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary / Brahmaputra Jungle Camp at Sonapur - Early morning explore any one zone of Kaziranga National Park on back of Elephant - Elephant riding time is 1st Ride- 5.15-6.15 AM; 2nd ride: 6.30-7.30 am - Return to hotel / Resort for Breakfast - Next start for Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary - It is approximately 245 kilometers and is nearly 04½ - 05 hours - The Sanctuary is on the southern bank of the Brahmaputra in Morigaon district in Assam, India -  It covers nearly 40 square kilometers of grassland and wetland habitat for the Indian rhinoceros - Pobitora is running a successful Rhino breeding program within its sanctuary - Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary is nestled in the grasslands and is the dwelling place of the Greater Indian One-Horned Rhinoceroses with its highest population in the whole world - It is landlocked by Assamese villages from every side of it with the traditional Assamese culture -  Places to see in Pobitora include Haduk Hanging bridge and Garanga Beel pond. Elephant rides and Jeep safaris are major activities - It is an Important Bird Area and home for more than 2000 migratory birds and various reptiles - Two more Sightseeing options are Sualkuchi & Hajo - Silk weavers' village and Hajo - a pilgrimage center - Evening free for the day -  Overnight stay at Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary Or Brahmaputra Jungle Camp

Day- 04

Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary Activities - Early morning one can avail Elephant Ride Or Jeep Safari - Mainly known for the Indian one-horned rhinos, leopards, wild buffalos, barking deer and a host of migratory birds, Pobitora National Park hosts multiple Jeep and elephant safari rides during morning & evening hours - The terrain of Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary is a breathtaking experience for a traveler or an admirer of nature - Back to Hotel / Homestay or Resort - Optional visits to the village of Mayong - It is engulfed with nature, near the Brahmaputra and Pobitora Wildlife sanctuary - Mayong or Mayang - the origins of the name from the Sanskrit word Maya (illusion) Or the Dimasa word for an elephant (Miyong) - Mayong is famous from ancient times as the Capital of Magic of India - Numerous archaeological relics and artifacts, including books on black magic and Ayurveda, is on display at Mayong Central Museum and Emporium Or one can stroll though a little sleepy hamlet named Sonoka a river side village - Evening free to stroll around the homestay, resort or hotel - Overnight stay at Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary Or Brahmaputra Jungle Camp

Note: Monsoon period should be strictly avoided as the region is prone to flash floods and the conditions of the roads make traveling almost impossible. For elephant safari, the timing is between 6:30 AM and 7:30 AM in the morning. Rest of the day is for jeep rides - The first jeep safari departs at 7 AM and the last one is at 3 PM - There is an hour’s break from 12 noon to 1 PM.[Kindly check if there is any change in Timing]

Day- 05

Transfer to Manas National Park - Early morning breakfast - Next drive to Manas - It is approximately 200 kilometers and is nearly 05 - 05½ hours drive - The name of the park is from the Manas River, named after the serpent goddess Manasa - The Manas river is a major tributary of Brahmaputra River, which passes through the heart of the park - Manas National  Park, a UNESCO Natural World Heritage site, is located in the Himalayan foothills and is famed for being a habitat to Tigers and Golden Leaf Monkeys - The park is known for its rare and endangered endemic wildlife such as the Assam roofed turtle, hispid hare, golden langur, and pygmy hog - The Manas river flows through the National  Park which acts an international border diving India and Bhutan - The Park is Project Tiger, Rhino & Elephant Reserve - Also visit Manas for its rare and endangered endemic wildlife such as the Assam Roofed Turtle, Hispid Hare, Golden Langur and Pygmy Hog - Not to forget, Manas is a birding paradise with more than 450 species of birds like Giant Hornbills, Pheasants, Jungle Fowl, Scarlet Minivet, Partridge, Florican and variety of water birds seen here - The last population of the Pygmy Hog survive in the wilds of Manas and nowhere else in the world - Evening free to spend time in resort or Hotel - Overnight stay at Manas

Day- 06

Forest Activities at Manas National Park - Elephant ride is the morning option and Jeep safari is morning afternoon & evening - It is upto guests to avail the same - After breakfast proceed for a jeep safari in the most beautiful point of Manas National Park - Back to hotel or Resort for breakfast - After breakfast, visit tea factory & see the tea preparations, completion get back to the hotel - [Optional] Post lunch i.e. after 01 PM go for a jeep safari to the park, via Indo Bhutan jungle road till Mathunguri - Manas National Park is contiguous with the Royal Manas National Park in Bhutan - It extends over an area of 2837 square kilometers from Sankosh river in the west to Dhansiri river in the east, with a core area of 500 square kilometers of the National park, which declared in 1990 - The river Manas flows into the national Park from the gorges of Bhutan and split into two major streams of which the main water course comes out of the National Park about 30 kilometres downstream is known as ‘Beki” - Taming the Beki (White water Rafting) one can drive to Mathanguri and Raft down the River Beki to Narayanguri - Mathanguri is located amidst the gushing river and views of the misty Bhutanese Hills - Evening free to stay back at hotel or resort - Overnight stay at Manas

Day- 08

Departure Transfer to Airport, Railway Station Or Bus Terminus - Early morning breakfast & check out of hotel - Depending upon the departure time guests can opt for Local Shopping or Have Food in some of the best traditional restaurants nearby - Few facts about Assam worth mentioning are the  ancient cities of Pragjyotishpura and Durjaya (North Guwahati) were the capitals of the ancient state of Kamarupa under the Varman and Pala dynasties - Many ancient Hindu temples are in the city, giving it the name City Of Temples"- Dispur, the capital of Assam, is in the circuit city region located within Guwahati and is the seat of the Government of Assam - Four major trading center and places of interest fro tourist are  Pan Bazaar, Paltan Bazaar, Fancy Bazaar, and Uzan Bazaar - Handloom & Silk are of good quality - After breakfast drive to Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (GAU) / Guwahati Railway Station (GHY) or Rupnath Brahma Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT) - Forwarding Journey
